Burn It To Earn It Breakfast Runs
These "Annual" runs, that by popularity have been held monthly since December, are the brain child of Steve McNeil and Alamar Cavada. They were training for the Rocky Raccoon (held in Feb). With lots of time to think on their LOOOONG training runs, the conversation turned to food (as it usually does). Steve calculated how many calories were burned (on average) based on the miles run. This inspired the first annual Burn It to Earn It run. This is a free run, no planned water stops with a 6-9 mile loop. Come join us; run and eat... two of the favorite things runners like to do!

Volunteer Group needed for Beach to Bay
There is a need for another volunteer group to work for Beach 2 Bay on race day. For this job I would like older kids or adults. I need a fairly good size group. The job starts early and finishes early. If you know of someone with a group that wants to earn a little money pass it along and have them email me: julie.ccrunn@gmail.com.

Welcome to the Corpus Christi Road Runners
CCRR was founded in 1974 (read about us) as the Corpus Christi Track Club by one of our members, Clent Mericle, with the help of his dad. Since that summer, the club has grown and promotes many competitive runs, fun runs and group training runs.

Our club's membership includes walkers, joggers, competitive runners and everything in between. You don't have to be a fast runner to participate in any of the events (see races) or to come out to one of the weekly training runs ( see group runs) . We always need volunteers for runs, if that is what you are interested in.

We have many months of 'running' weather here in Corpus Christi and we like to take advantage of that fact. You'll find that there are runs of all types year round. All CCRR sponsored races have a professional timing company to handle the results.

We have reasonable yearly dues for individuals and families . Our dues help to support many local charitable organizations. Our biggest event of the year is BEACH To BAY , with over 1700 (in 2008) 6-man teams, raising over $52,000 being given to different charities and organizations here in our community, as well as bringing in many visitors to our city.

Come out and participate in one of our events and see what great people runners are !!
